In our modern era, materials such as: concrete, steel, and glass, are the absolute protagonists when it comes to creating objects of large dimensions. Steel and glass are also used for small-sized objects, while concrete is generally ignored. The reason for this is its physical and mechanical properties which are ideal for architecture, but still largely disdained by the design world. However, concrete can provide some innovative and stylish solutions, including as a replacement for some of the more traditionally used materials, such as stone, and it can be seen as the breaking point with the plastic era. This design combines a classical frame shape, a circle and a square, with modern architectural materials to create a new innovative design, a union of the micro and the macro, of architecture and design, of innovation and tradition.
